My new project "Hope Chest"

"Hope Chest"  is my new project inspired by my cultural roots. I was born in Transilvania, Romania in a small  mountain village. This project is all about keeping alive the disappearing beauty and the secrets of a traditional, simple life by weaving old, cultural elements into contemporary abstractions. I "zoom in" a world full of signs and simbols and pick a motif, which then I "translate" into contemporary abstractions (my favorite painting style).
